About 150 former members from Rushden's 2nd St. Mary's company, including one of the earliest captains, Mrs. Frances Craddick, will be returning for the celebrations at the Robinson Road Institute.
To mark the event, six new rose bushes named after the world chief guide, Olive Baden-Powell, have been planted in St. Mary's churchyard.
The company's anniversary will also be given official recognition. Rushden Urban Council has agreed to plant the flower bed in Skinners Hill in the form of a trefoil.
Also attending the event will be the County Commissioner Mrs. E. Baker, Division Commissioner Mrs. M. Mackness, and District Commissioner Mrs. L. Anderson.
Afterwards, Mrs. Baker will present Queen's guide badges and certificates to 13-year-old Mandy Graham and 14-year-old Helen Burgess. Photographs showing the history of the company will also be on display.
Before the celebrations, there will be a thanksgiving service at St. Mary's Church which will be taken by the Rector of Rushden, the Rev. Michael Wilson.
