Queen's Guide Jane Crawley
Rushden Echo, 7th July 1967, transcribed by Kay Collins

Rushden Girl Receives Queen's Guide Award
Sixteen-year-old Jane Crawley, 37 St. Mary's Avenue, Rushden, received her Queen's Guide Award—the highest honour attainable by Guides—at a special gathering of the 2nd Rushden (St. Mary's) Group at the Institute, Robinson Road, Rushden, last week.

Jane received her award from the Assistant County Commissioner for Guides, Miss K. J. Strong.

Members of the Guide company, and Brownies, together with Jane's family and friends, watched the presentation and welcomed by the Rev. D. J. Elliot, Rector of Rushden, who acted as chairman during the meeting.

Miss Strong congratulated Jane on achieving the honour and spoke of the help she had received from her company and family.
