Cyclists Shoes

Pete Salisbury's cyclists shoes - Most people who tried on a pair of bought them. Anyone with "unusual feet" could send him a paper sketch and trace around their foot. Pete would partly make the shoes, and send them to his customer for approval and he would make any necessary corrections before completing the shoes.

Every pair had "Pete Salisbury Perfect Shoes" embossed into the tongue.

In the 1950s a Raunds company made a cyclists shoe called a "Rotax Pursuit" with a large overhanging tongue!
