Rushden Echo & Argus, 19th December 1941

youth cyclists
Meeting near the War Memorial
Cycling On Saturday afternoon the cycling section of the Rushden Youth Service Corps enjoyed a run to Kimbolton. The outward trip was via Chelveston and Tilbrook, and Pertenhall. Swineshead and Yelden were chosen for the homeward journey. Sunday morning’s run to Barnwell and Oundle received good support, and the leaders chose a route via the Addingtons, Woodfrod and Thrapston. On the homeward run the villages of Stoke Doyle, Aldwincle St Peter, Thorpe, Denford, Ringstead and Stanwick were visited—a very pleasant route. The leaders were Miss W. Palmer and Mr. H. G. Palmer.
