Cubs’ BirthdayThe Mission Church Cub Pack celebrated its first birthday on Saturday, when a party to celebrate the occasion was held in the Mission Hall. An excellent tea had been provided by the Cubs’ parents, the fare including a large two-tier birthday cake, decorated with the Pack colours and adorned with one candle.
Nine Cubs were presented with their first-year star by Mr F E Preston (District Commissioner) and their new flag was dedicated by the Rev. E E Bromage. An enjoyable evening was spent in games, and the party ended with prayers. Guests included Mr R Brown (District Cub-Master). The arrangements were made by Acting Cub-master T Hudson.
