A beautiful setting, a glorious day and a happy spirit amongst all those taking part once again assured the success of the annual competition for the shoe and leather news Bowls Cup. The competition was held on Saturday last on the excellent green of the Wellingborough Bowling Club, Hatton Park, Wellingborough. The contest, as usual, took the form of an American competition, each rink playing all other entrants. Altogether ten rinks entered but unfortunately, at the last minute, Norwich had to drop out owing to the illness of one of its members.
