Success of Rushden Athletes —Mr. Walter Ette, Grove-street, secured the first prize the 100 yards sprint at the Coventry sports Bank Holiday. The prize was a gold watch. At the City of Ely sports on Bank Holiday Mr. Harry Knight, son of Mr. S. Knight, of Newton-road, won the first in the 100 yards flat handicap, the prize being a solid silver sugar basin and sifter, value £5 5s. Mr. Knight also secured the first in the 220 yards handicap at the same races, the prize being a solid silver hot water jug, value £5 5s.
