Town Band SuccessAt Peterborough on Saturday Rushden Town Band won two prizes in a band contest arranged by "D" Company of the 5th (Hunts) Battalion of the Northamptonshire Regiment. The contest was held in the Peterborough Drill Hall, and other local bands competing were Irthlingborough Town and Earls Barton. Rushden were second in the selection contest, the judge saying that the band, though not quite together, was nicely subdued. In the match contest Rushden were placed third.
