The Rushden Town Band will broadcast from the Birmingham (Midland Region) studio on Wednesday evening next, and Northamptonshire as a county will “tune in” on this auspicious occasion.

Following an audition some few weeks ago, the B.B.C. decided that the Rushden band was well capable of broadcasting a good programme, and some time after the hearing, the local combination were notified that they were to play before the microphone—the first time a band within the county had attained such an honour.
