Size of Room requires should not be less than 40’ x 20’. One 60’ x 30’ would be ideal. Mr Preston kindly offers to write for estimates from Hut Builders also to write to HQ for information concerning the particulars of Loans for buildings. R.L. brings to notice a Hut for sale at Irthlingborough, which he thinks could be taken down and rebuilt with the help of voluntary labour from the Parishioners and Scouts for a total cost of about £220.

This would make ideal HQs; also a fine Parochial Room for the Parish.

Minute 4

Sec. Instructed to order necessary badges for Rover Crew and Troop.

Meeting of Dep. with Rector Oct. 14th 1932

Attendance Rector, Mr Perch, Mr Winters, Mr Brown, Secretary.

The Group consists of approx.

4

Officers

45

Cubs

30

Scouts

5

Rovers

These three sections of the group would need the use of a Room as follows:-

Cubs

1 night from

6.45

To 8pm

Scouts

1 night from

7.15

To 9pm

Rovers

Same night as cubs from 8 onwards

If the Parish could provide us with a piece of ground we could find a hut to put on it. A Hut to suit our needs would be about 36’ x16’ which would cost approx. £50.

A Hut for sale at Irthlingborough measuring 80’ x21’ with a floor area of 3,500 sq.ft. with a sale price of £125.

Would this place interest the Council as a Parish Hall if moved and erected at Rushden. Rector said that he would look over this place.

Failing these could we have the use of the Vestry Hall two nights a week and keep the existing rooms for Patrol Nights?

For a large Parish like Rushden there should be ample room for the different organisations but as there is no little co-operation between the different C parties this is not so.
