Rushden Echo, 26th August 1921 , transcribed by Kay Collins
Rushden Tennis TournamentPlay in the Hospital Tournament commenced yesterday on courts kindly lent by Mr. and Mrs. George Selwood and Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Knight, and some very good tennis was witnessed. The hostess in each case provided tea for players and spectators. Other sections will play tomorrow (Saturday) at “Moorlands,” Hayway, and “Eastfields.” It is expected to play off the finals on Thursday next at Erskine House, by kind permission of Mr. H. F. Jaques, and doubtless a very interesting evening’s play will result.
