Mr. J. P. Ward, M.B.E., the new chairman of the Rushden branch of the R.A.F. Association.

Mr. Ward, who lives at 4, Butts Road, Raunds, was a Squadron-Leader in the Public Relations branch of the R.A.F. He is also secretary of the R.A.F. Northern Ireland Officers' Association.

He came to the district in January to serve as sales manager with Messrs. Fred Hawkes Refrigeration) Ltd., Rushden.
