Spitfire Bill
The Man with the Golden
Half-Sovereigns.
From 6 p.m.
Spitfire Bill No. 1 will be on parade in the Hall Grounds.
To the person who correctly challenges
him, he will immediately present
a Golden Half -Sovereign.
From 7 p.m.

He also will present a golden
half-sovereign if correctly challenged.
THE CHALLENGE
Do NOT challenge in groups. You MUST be alone. Hold in your
left hand a copy of the official programme (back page uppermost)
and say "I challenge you to be Spitfire Bill, and claim from you
the prize of a golden half-sovereign".
Here is The Clue to Spitfire Bill Number 1.
He looks quite young, he's not too old,
In all affairs he's rather bold;
His name begins twixt A and K;
With pen he's busy every day.
Here is The Clue to Spitfire Bill Number 2.
This William decorates his face,
And fills a large amount of space;
If you should meet him here to-day,
Be very careful what you say.
