The Executive Committee submitted a list of prizes proposed to be offered, amounting to about £20 in all. It was proposed to divide the prizes among twelve events.

He report was adopted.

Matters connected with printing were arranged and an offer from the Rudge-Whitworth Co. through Mr C A Ashby to supply handbills free was accepted.

Messrs. J. W. Ashdowne, Arthur Cave, J. Claridge, and T. Swindall undertook to collect money for prizes, toward, which Mr. Hirons said he had £3 promised.

An offer by Mr. J. E. Smith of the services of his Maypole Girls was accepted, but a suggestion that outside societies should be invited was not favoured.

The Musical Arrangements

The Chairman reported that after seeing it stated that the Temperance Band could not assist for less than £4, the Station-road Mission Band had decided that they could not assist for less than £3. If the Temperance Band took £3, they would come for £2, and if £2 was accepted their charge would be £1. The Mission Band would be prepared to give their services if no payment was made to any other band.

Considerable discussion followed and it was eventually decided to offer the Temperance Band £3 and the Mission Band £1.

The Chairman said he had seen Mr. Pitts, the station-master, who was in communication with the Railway authorities as to cheap fares and he (the Chairman) expected to be able to arrange for a special train from Wellingboro’ at two o'clock.

The Committees

Messrs. Adnitt, Hirons and F Knight were appointed a prize committee, and it was resolved that the prizes should be exhibited in the windows of Messrs A C Ashby, J A Langley, and W H Moody. Messrs Morris, Cunnington and Moody were appointed a programme committee.

It was decided to engage the Public-hall for a tea, distribution of prizes and entertainment, and to ask the Beaumont Cycling Club to undertake the duties of entertainment committee.

After some little discussion it was resolced that the cyclists taking part in the parade should walk, except in the humorous and novelty section,

It was decided to commence the judging at 2.15 and 6.45, the processions to commence at 3.0 and 7.30, and to act on a suggestion by Miss Sartoris that the Committee should charge 1s. for a private view of the judging in the Hall grounds.
