RUSHDEN - PROPERTY SALE—On Thursday evening, the 6th inst., Messrs. Pendered sold by auction, at the Wheat Sheaf Inn, the following property:

Lot 1—21 copyhold cottages and a field of land adjoining, in all about three acres, situate midway between Higham Ferrers and Rushden, and in the occupation of Mr. Philip Whitbread and others; the property brings in a rental of £160 per annum, and was knocked down to Mr. John Sargent, jun., for £2000.

Lot 2 consisted of eight copyhold cottages belonging to the late Mrs. Partridge, of Knuston, and was knocked down to Mr. J. Gross, on behalf of Mr. John Jacquest, for £370.

Lot 3 comprised two newly-erected houses, the property of Mr. John Margetts, let at a yearly rental of £18 10s., knocked down to Mr. J. Gross for £305.

Lot 4, a leasehold house and shop, situate in Higham Ferrers, in the occupation of Mr. T. Ward, let at £20 per annum, the ground being £2 per annum, and the lease having 18 years to run; this lot was reserved at £195, and only £190 being offered the lot was withdrawn, but was subsequently bought privately by Mr. Ambrose Gillitt, of Wellingborough, for £200.

Five £10 shares in the Higham Ferrers Gas Company were then put up, and realised £10 per share, bought by Mr. G. Shelton, Higham Ferrers.

AT the Temperance Hall, Rushden, on Friday, 31st January, 1879, at 6 for 7 o'clock in the evening, subject to conditions to be then produced, in one Lot, viz.:—

All those 13 COPYHOLD MESSUAGES or Tenements, situate in, and having a frontage to High-street, Rushden, being the eastern portion of the property known as Bayes' Yard, as now stumped out and marked upon the adjoining boundary walls, in the occupations of Mr. Samuel Chettle, Mr. George Stokes, and others.

N.B.—The Vendor will erect, and for ever hereafter maintain, a good and sufficient boundary wall between the property now offered for sale and the western portion of Bayes' Yard, which is reserved; and the present back road to the said property will be permanently closed.

The rental of the property (including the portion reserved) is upwards of £71 per annum, of which the part now offered for sale is estimated to produce £68 per annum.

The Copyhold of the Manor of Rushden being fine certain, the property is nearly equal in value to Freehold.

PROPERTY SALE—Thirteen cottages and out-buildings were sold by auction by Messrs. Pendered and Son, in the Temperance Hall, on the 31st ult. The property, which is copyhold and known as Bayes' Yard, realised £700. Mr. John Sargeant, jun., was the purchaser.

AT the Wheat Sheaf Inn, Rushden, on Thursday 10th April, 1879, at Six o'clock in the Evening, by order of the Acting-Trustee for Sale under the will of Mr. William Betson, deceased, subject to such conditions as will be then produced, and in one or more lots as may be determined upon at the time of Sale, viz.:—

All those Four Messuages or Tenements, situate in Duck-street, Rushden, together with the Workshops, Out-houses, large Garden, and Greenhouse, at the rear, in the respective occupations of Wm. Curtis, Joseph Barwick, Joseph Cox, and George Stacey.

The above are Copyhold of the Manor of Rushden, but being fine certain, are considered equal in value to Freehold.

BY order of the Trustees acting under the will of the late Wm. Colson, deceased, at the Temperance Hall, Rushden, on Thursday Evening, June 26th, 1879, at Six for Seven o'clock precisely, subject to such conditions as will be then produced, in Two Lots.

LOT 1—All those two newly built DWELLING HOUSES, situate on the Wellingborough-road, in Rushden, and occupied by Mrs. Colson and Mr. Haydn Packwood. That in the occupation of Mr. Colson contains 5 bedrooms, pantry, kitchen, parlour, sitting and dining rooms, with the garden and outhouses. The Freehold and Tithe-free Agricultural Property, known as Rushden-lodge and Bencroft Grange Farms, comprising a substantial farm residence, with bailiffs house and suitable farm buildings, conveniently arranged and well placed, surrounded by about 560 acres of capital productive corn and stock land, let to a good tenant at £900 per annum.

Messrs. All that close of superior arable LAND, with a convenient DWELLING-HOUSE, garden and out-buildings, large Barn, Stabling, and a WINDMILL driving two pairs of stones, situated on the road leading from Rushden, to Wymington, the whole containing 2a. 1r. 0p. or thereabouts, in the occupation of Mr. B. Green, the proprietor.

The property is bounded on the north and east by the estate of F. U. Sartoris, Esq., on the south by Wymington Field, and on the west by the road leading from Rushden to Wymington.
