Estates at Rushden, in Northamptonshire
To be Sold by Auction

At the Swan Inn, in Rushden, in the County of Northampton, on Friday the twenty-sixth day of October 1832, at Two o’clock in the afternoon.

The following Valuable and Desirable Freehold and Copyhold Estates, situated in Rushden aforesaid, in Lots, viz.;

Lot 1. All that freehold Messuage or Tenement, with the barns, stable, orchard or paddock, out-buildings, and other appurtenances to the same belonging, pleasantly situated on the GREEN, near the Church, now in the occupation of Thomas Chettle.

The above is a desirable Situation for a Draper, Grocer, or any other Trade requiring room, being in the centre of a populous village; and it commands a good frontage towards the Town Street.

Lot 2. All those Two copyhold MESSUAGES or TENEMENTS, with garden adjoining, situate in a Street called Duck Street, now in the occupation of Thomas Hensman and William Hobbs.

Lot 3. All those Two other copyhold MESSUAGES or TENEMENTS, with the gardens and orchard adjoining, as now stumped out from the remaining part thereof, situate in the South End of the Village, in a Street called Little Street, now in the occupations of Thomas Baker and James Green.

Lot 4. All those Two other copyhold MESSUAGES or TENEMENTS, with the gardens and orchard adjoining, as now stumped out, situate in the said Street called Little Street, now in the occupations of Ann Belcher and James Robinson.

Lot 5. All that freehold CLOSE of old inclosed Pasture Ground, called CRABB’S CLOSE, adjoining the Village, and containing Eight Acres and a Half or thereabouts (more or less).

Lot 6. All that Copyhold CLOSE of old inlcosed Pasture Ground, called or known by the names of WILES’S CLOSE or RED GATE CLOSE, situate in the South End of Rushden, and containing Three Acres and a Half or thereabouts (more or less).

Lot 7. All that copyhold CLOSE of Pasture Land, situate at a short distance from the Village, called FOUR ROAD CLOSE, and containing Four Acres and a Half or thereabouts (more or less).

The above Estates were lately the property of MR. JOHN CORBY, deceased; the Houses are in good repair, and the Land, which is of a superior quality, is in excellent condition, and altogether the Property would be a most desirable Purchase either for occupation or investment.
