Women’s Suffrage – A meeting of the Rushden Centre in the Young British Liberals Society was held in the British Women’s Hall on Wednesday night. Mr. G. H. Parkins presided over a fair attendance. A Bill for Women’s Suffrage was introduced by Mr. H. J. Jacobs, to which an amendment was propsed by Mr. H. D. Walker. A warm discussion followed, in which Messrs. W. Sargent, A. Willmott, F. Cook, F. Knight, and others took part. A division was taken on the Bill, resulting in 14 in favour and 5 against. Some members abstained from voting.
