John S. Mason is instructed to sell by auction at the Coffee Tavern, Rushden on Monday, 26th May 1919 at six o’clock in the evening precisely, by order of the Executors of the late Mr. John Denton, subject to such conditions of sale as will be then produced.

Lot 1: All those 2 freehold dwelling houses situate Nos. 37 and 39, Washbrook Road, Rushden, of brick and slate erection, each containing front room, living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms, pantry, barn and the usual domestic offices, with garden at rear, now in the occupation of Messrs. Prickett and Golding and producing a gross rental of £29 0s 8d per annum.

Lot 2: All those 2 freehold dwelling houses being Nos. 41 and 43, Washbrook Rod, of similar construction, and producing a gross rental of £29 0s 8d per annum.

All those 4 valuable well-build freehold dwelling houses, situate and being nos. 1, 3, 5 and 7 Windmill Road, Rushden, of brick and slate erection and each containing front room, living room, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, pantry, coal barn, linen cupboard, the usual domestic offices and garden at the rear, now in the occupation of Messrs. Andrews, Croot, Thorby and Robinson as weekly tenants and producing a gross rental of £67 12s 0d per annum.

This property is exceedingly well built and in a capital state of repair and situate in one of the best positions of the town.

Property Sale—Mr. J. S. Mason, auctioneer, held an important sale of properties at the Coffee Tavern, Rushden, on Monday, there being a good attendance of buyers, and brisk bidding for several valuable lots. A freehold dwelling house, 21 Gordon Terrace, Higham-road, Rushden, containing 6 rooms, kitchen, sculleries, and two pantries, with a long garden, was offered. Bidding started at £250, and Mr. Nichols, of High-street, Rushden purchased at £450. The next door house with an office attached was bought by Mr. F. L. Heygate for £440. The freehold dwelling house, 17 Manton-road, containing 6 rooms, kitchen, and pantry, obtained a £400 first bid, and was sold to Mr. H. Nicholson, Rushden, at £515. The bidding for the four houses, 1 to 7 Windmill-road, Rushden, each containing five rooms, kitchen, tec., started at £600, and were knocked down to Mr. W. H. Marriott, High-street South, Rushden, at £885. Two dwelling houses, 37 and 39 Washbrook-road, containing 5 rooms, kitchen, etc., let at £29 0s. 8d. per annum, were purchased by Mr. A. Allebone, for £350. Lots 3 to 5 were withdrawn, and No. 46 Washbrook-road, let at £16 18s. 0d. per annum was purchased by Mr. Flawn for £225.
