Rectory Estate
Land adjoining the Rectory House (built in 1871) was used for Church functions,
fetes, picnics, sports etc., and this was where a Church Instutute was built in 1901.
Other land was sold for town expansion, and took the name.

Rushden Echo, 16th February 1912
