Mr Goulsbra moved to Rushden to take on the management of Lloyds Bank in 1959.
In 1972 he is chairman of Rushden U.D.C. having been a councillor for the last eight years, and vice-chairman in 1971.
He is intimately involved in the life of the town, with a particular interest in the opera and drama. He is chairman of the Theatrical Society, secretary of the Operatic Society and treasurer of the Dramatic Society (the Rushden Players), and he has also both acted and produced.
