Wymington Road Site 2015-16

On the former site of Rushden House built in 1871 by Edward Currie. In 1919 the site was purchased by the County Council and the house became the "San" or Sanatorium for treating tuberculois. In 1948 it was taken into the National Health Service, and became a hospital for chest complaints, and later for geriatric care and respite accommodation. The site was gradually run down after the building of the Nene Park Medical Centre at Irthlingborough.

Rushden Hopital Site redevelopment for over a hundred houses is taking place.
