Abstract of Title The Trustees of the Will of Thomas Affleck
Freehold hereditaments situate at Rushden.
January 1878 Indenture between Charles Frederick Lavender then late of Elstow Hardwick, Bedford, farmer, then of Bedford, gentleman, George Small of Bedford house decorator, and John Provost of Huntingdon, chemist of the first part, Walter Barber Tuck of 42 Wharton Street Lloyd Square, Middlesex, chemist of the second part, Gertrude Tuck of St Agnes Bishopstoke, Southampton, spinster of the third part, James Ashton Provost of Eastbourne, Sussex, chemist and Agnes Provost his wife (formerly Agnes Tuck spinster) of the fourth part, Thomas Affleck of Wellingborough, draper (hereinafter called the purchaser, of the fifth part, and William Warren of Rushden carrier of the sixth part.
Reciting Will of William Mather Tuck late of Sharnbrook, gentleman, who died 17th Aug 1876. Admon granted to Marrianne Tuck.
Marriage Settlement April 1871.
"All those three messuages or tenements (formerly one messuage or tenement in the occupation of Lane widow) with the yard or garden barn and outbuilding thereunto belonging situate on the South side of the Gable end abutting on the Bedford Road in Rushden, formerly in the several occupations of Hannah Jaquest James Jaquest and James Robinson and then converted into and occupied as four tenements thereof which were in the several tenures of John Underwood James Jaquest and John Perrin and the other untenanted and then again converted into three tenements which were then late in the several tenures or occupations of William Warren Maria Childs and James Warren and two of which were then in the occupation of the said William Warren and Maria Childs and the other was unoccupied bounded on or towards the North by property then belonging to George Wilmer on or towards the East by the said Brook or watercourse on or towards the South by the Freehold hereditaments therein before described and thereby assured and on or towards the West by Bedford Road aforesaid To which said hereditaments the said Agnes Provost William Barber Tuck and Gertrude Tuck were admitted tenants as thereinbefore recited."
