Dennis Copperwheat GC

On March 22nd 2022 Rushden & District History Society erected a Blue Plaque to commemorate
Dennis Copperwheat, who was awarded the George Cross in 1942.
Dennis and his wife and daughter lived in Park Avenue for several years.

	Members of the History Society gather with the Mayor outside the house for a short ceremony to unveil the Blue Plaque.

After the unveiling the current occupiers kindly supplied tea and cakes to those gathered for the ceremony.
A very enjoyable time was spent sitting in their garden chatting.
