John Maccarnesse - Will

In the name of God amen I John Maccarnesse of Higham Park in the County of Northampton gent beinge of perfect Memory doe make & ordeine this my last will & testament as followeth:

Imprimis I bequeath my soule into ye hands of Allmighty God that gave it & my body to be burried under my pew in Melchborne Church in A decent manner by my executor
Item my will is that my daughter Ann Anscell shall have my estate at Longthorpe & in case she shall survive her husband Francis Anscell & he shall leave her jointure at Ickleford cleared &  free from all debts & incumbrances then if shee shall marry again & live until my grandson John Anscell shall atayne to ye Age of one & twenty yeares then my will is yt my grandson John Anscell shall have one moiety or halfe parte of ye rents & profitts arrisdinge or cominge yearly out of my estate at Longthorpe for his yearly maintynance & if he should dye without issue then my will is my grandaughter Mildred Anscell shall have my estate to her & herires & for want of such heires to my sister Blunston after her to my sister Dods two Daughters & theire heires forever
Item my will further is yt if grandson John Anscell shall survive his mother & be possessed of the whole then my will further is that John Anscell shall pay unto my grandaughter Mildred Anscell two hundred pounds within one yeare after his beinge possessed thereof
Item my will is after my debts & legacyes payed & my funeral discharged I give all my goods & chattells unto my daughter Ann Anscell whom I make sole executrixe of ys my last will & testament
Item I further appoint John Letice of Rushden Rector overseer & trustee & for my executrix to have his advice in her executing & for his paynes I give him five pounds In witnesse hereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the fifth day of Aprill in ye year of our Lord 1708
