Rushden Echo, Friday July 15, 1898 transcribed Sue Manton
Mr. Warren

Accident:- On Wednesday, Mr. Warren, baker, Duck Street, met with a nasty accident when about to start from Wellingborough for Rushden. He was in the act of getting into a cart belonging to Mr. Storey, dealer, when the horse bolted and Mr. Warren fell to the ground. One of the wheels of the cart passed over the lower part of his body, crushing and bruising him considerably. Medical aid was obtained and after the injured man had received attention he was removed to his home at Rushden by the Wellingborough Ambulance Corps. The sufferer is, we learn, going on fairly well and will, we hope, soon recover from his injuries.
