Rushden Echo, 24th February 1905, transcribed by Greville Watson

A serious accident befell Mr. Walker (of Messrs. Walker and Everard, carpenters, etc.), of Rushden, on Wednesday. He was driving some workmen to Sharnbrook where the firm have a contract in hand. While going along the Bedford-road the horse suddenly rushded on and jerked Mr. Walker off the conveyance, and unfortunately he fell in such a position that the wheels of the vehicle passed over him, breaking several of his ribs, and bruising him about the body. The workmen were also jerked off the vehicle but escaped unhurt. Mr. Walker was at once removed to his home in Rushden.
