AccidentOn Saturday last, as a man in the employ of Mr. Skinner, butcher, was delivering meat at some cottages between Higham and Rushden, he left a lad in charge of the horse and cart, when, from some cause, the horse started on. The lad took the reins, and, pulling one rein only, pulled the horse, which was a blind one, round, when it ran with great force in to the iron fencing round Mr. W. Kilsby’s house, overturning the cart and breaking the shaft off, throwing the lad from the cart a distance of several yards, but fortunately he was very little the worse for the adventure, while the horse was very seriously injured and the fencing very much damaged.
