Nurses - Training Successes

A Midwifery scholarship has been awarded by the Northants Education Committee to Mrs. Emily Langham, wife of Mr. Geo. Wm. Langham, of 42 Glassbrook-road, Rushden.

Nursing Prize—After two years' nursing experience at the Manfield Orthopaedic Hospital, Northampton, Miss Doreen ("Topsy") Levy, of Rushden, is the winner this year of the prize for the best all-round performance during the present training course. The presentation was made at the half-yearly meeting of the governors of the hospital by Mr. Stephen Schilizzi, chairman of the Board of Management, who presided in the absence of Earl Spencer (president). Miss Levy will shortly remove to Guy's Hospital, London. A well-known swimmer, Miss Levy was presented with a County badge last Saturday, after swimming for Northampton in the team which defeated Bedford. She is also a keen tennis player, and played for the Manfield Hospital in the inter-hospital tennis championship this year.
