Cycling accident – As Mr. Horton, assistant to Mr. Nattrass, ironmonger of Rushden, was cycling home to Bedford on Sunday morning he noticed, when nearing Knotting, a black spaniel on the side of the road. The dog darted in front of him and the wheel of the machine caught the animal in the ribs with such force that the rider was pitched over the handle bars on to the road. Fortunately he only received a slight shaking but the cross-bar of his machine was broken in two. Mr. Horton walked back to Rushden, and borrowed a machine on which he journeyed to Bedford.
