MARATHON marvels Alma Skoyles and Pat Frost went on a mercy dash for Rushden's medical centre.
They have now handed over some new equipment which they had bought for the Adnitt Road centre in the town after raising more than £1,500 in sponsorship when they ran in the London Marathon.
They handed over two syringe drivers to the medical centre and more than £700 to the Kettering General Hospital CAT scan appeal.
Since finishing their first run last month, Mrs Skoyles, 50, and Mrs Frost, 53, have taken up the sport with more marathons planned for the coming months.
"We started training for the London marathon after Christmas," said Mrs Skoyles, who runs a newsagents on Wellingborough Road, Rushden.
"We raised far more money than we thought we would and have managed to buy two syringe drivers for the medical centre and have money left over for the Kettering Hospital appeal."
Representatives of the two centres received the money and equipment.
