Orchard Accident


Mr. Albert Knight, of 9, Gordon-terrace, well-known in the town and district as a former Inspector of Police, fell from a ladder, while gathering fruit in an orchard at "Eastfields' on Wednesday evening.  

Help was summoned by Police Sergt. Thompson, who had been holding the ladder, and Mr. Knight was taken by motor ambulance to Northampton General Hospital.

It was stated at the hospital on Thursday that he had an injury to the shoulder and shock.
