FATAL ACCIDENTOn Wednesday, the 20th inst., a number of children were playing in the Back-lane, near the Top Meeting. There was at the time a horse belonging to Mr. J. Warren, butcher, grazing in the lane, and a gate leading into one of the fields being left open, the animal went into the field, and the children went to fetch it back, when it kicked a little boy, named Childs, just over the right eye, fracturing the skull so that the brain protruded. The child died from the injuries on Sunday. An inquest was held in the Vestry Hall on Tuesday afternoon, before J. T. Parker, Esq., and a respectable jury, of which Mr. G.
