The Rushden Echo, 17th October 1947, transcribed by Kay Collins
Doctor was on the Spot

Running from behind a bus, from which he had just alighted, at Rushden on Monday afternoon, 13-year-old Keith Bradshaw, of 142, Highfield Road, collided with a car and received slight cuts.

The driver of the car was, Dr. R. W. Clarke, of Irchester, whose young daughter, Rosemary, also sustained cuts to the face as a result of the accident.

Dr. Clarke rendered first aid to the two children on the spot, and the boy was afterwards able to walk home.

The accident occurred at the junction of Boundary Avenue and Irchester Road.
