In the first quarter of 1947 Rushden motor ambulance made 85 journeys and travelled 2,611 miles, compared with 70 journeys and 2,032 miles during the corresponding part of last year.
Fifty-three of the journeys were between Rushden and Northampton, and no long runs were made. Transport and other receipts exceeded £87.
These facts were reported to a meeting of Rushden and District Motor Ambulance Association on Tuesday evening, when Mr. C. S. Wooding presided, supported by Mr. E. Hobbs (vice-chairman) and Mr. H. C. Allen (hon secretary).
