Rushden Echo, 3rd October 1924, transcribed by Kay Collins
Mr W F Cook

Accident—Mr W F Cook, the well-known and accomplished bass vocalist, of Rushden, was working a printing press at Mr J F Cook’s works in Church-street on Wednesday evening, when his right hand was dragged in between the rollers. Dr Muriset rendered aid, and Mr Cook afterwards had treatment under his own medical attendant (Dr Greenfield). Fortunately no bones were broken, but the crushing was so severe that Mr Cook will not be able to work for some time. One of the (metal) rollers was bent.
