Employees' Factory Fund
Excellent Work at Rushden
For The Nursing Association
At the annual meeting of the Rushden Nursing Association on Wednesday the following report was received from the Employees' Factory Fund Committee, of which Mr. C. F. Mackness is the hon. secretary:-
The Committee have much pleasure in again presenting the Annual List of Collections made in the various factories in Rushden.
The Balance Sheet shows that the year has been the best on record, the sum of £169 6s. 7d. having been collected. This is an increase of £14 16s. 4d. on last year's account, and that £160 11s. 5d. has been handed over to the Association, which certainly shows that the efforts of the Nurses and the work of the Nursing Association are greatly appreciated.
There are still a few factories who are not subscribing; it is hoped we shall be able to get them to take up the work, and so swell our income next year.
We wish to give our hearty thanks to all our collectors for their services, and to Mr. W. W. Rial for gratuitously auditing the Accounts.
We should also like to express our appreciation and thanks to the late Secretary, Mr. C. H. Fletcher who is working out of the district. His courtesy and goodwill are deeply appreciated by us all, and we wish him every success in his new sphere.
The balance-sheet of the Factory Fund was as follows:-
