Report 1955 – 1956   [Extract]

Rushden Memorial Hospital

Out-Patient Clinic

Statistics show that there was a reduction in the number of patients attending the hospital during last year.  The main cause attributed to this decrease was the opening of the physiotherapy department at the Wellingborough Park Hospital which patients from the Wellingborough area now attend instead of travelling to Rushden.

The Rushden Memorial Hospital Fund Committee continue their generous contributions towards the provision of equipment etc. and have now offered to provide funds towards the development of the top floor of the hospital including the installation of a lift and central heating.  This will be of great advantage both to patients and staff.
