John Woolason 1616

In the name of God Amen the twentieth day of Januarie in the yeare of our Lord one thousand six hundred and sixteen I John Wollason of Rushden in the countie of Northant labourer being sicke in body but whole in minde and of good & perfect memorie laud & praise be unto almightie God therefore doe ordayne and make my Testament contayning hearin my last will in forme & manner following. First I bequeath my soule unto almightie God my creator and redeemer and my body to be buried in the parish churchyard of Rushden afforesaide.

Item I bequeath unto Elizabeth and Marie my two daughters that iiij pounds which my brother Samuell Smith is to pay after the decease of my father and my mother to be imployed imediatelie to there uses. Item I give unto Elizabeth my sayd daughter twentie shillings to be payd unto her at the age of xxi yeare. Item I give unto Marye my daughter twentie shillings to be payd at the like age. Item I give unto Elizabeth my daughter my biggest chest. Item I give unto Mary my daughter my best chest next. Item I appoint for my overseers Samuell Smith my brother and William Weeden to whom I appoint for eyther of the[m] vjd. And all the rest of my goods I bequeath & give unto Agnes my wife whom I make my sole Executrix of this my last will & testament. In wittnesse heareof I have put to my hand.
