Nathaniel Wells

This is the last Will and Testament of me Nathaniel Wells of Rushden in the County of Northampton Gentleman which I make & ordain in manner & form following (that is to say|) first I will & direct that all my just debts & funeral expenses shall be fully paid & discharged by my Executors hereinafter named as soon as convenient after my decease next I give & devise unto my Grandson Nathaniel Wells Small of the Town of Oxford in the County of Oxford ... all that my copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the Garden orchard & appurtenances thereunto adjoining & belonging situate standing lying & being in Rushden aforesaid and now in my own occupation to hold to him the said Nathaniel Wells Small his heirs & assigns for ever also I give & bequeath unto my Executors hereinafter named out of the dividends or Interest of my personal Estate by even & equal half yearly payments (that is to say) that on the sixth day of January and the sixth day of July in every year during the natural life (free from all deductions whatsoever) the first payment thereof I direct shall begin and be paid to them on the first of the above mentioned days which shall happen next after my decease and I do hereby charge & make chargeable all my personal Estate with the payment of the above mentioned Legacy of forty pounds be given to my said wife...............
