William Weeden 1621

In the name God Amen. The xix't of Julie in the yeare of our Lord. 1621. I Willi[a]m Weeden of Rushden in the Countie of North. Weaver beinge in whole minde and good and perfect memorie laude and praise be unto almightie God therefore, doe ordayne and make my Testament contayninge herein my last will in form and manner followinge, First I bequeath my soule to almightie God my creatour and to Jesus Christ my redeemer: and my bodie to be buried in the parish Churchyard of Rushden afforesayde as neare the grave of Thomas Bates as may bee.
It[em] I geve unto the parish Church of Rushden iij s. iiij d. It[em] I geve unto Judah my sonne and heire, all my free hold land and meadowe and pausture ground, in Rushden, and in Rushden bounds to him and to his heires for ever. It[em] I geve unto my daughter Susan Twentie marks to be payd unto her by my Executrix as followeth that is the on[e] half within on[e] yeare after my decease, and the other halfe within Two yeares after my decease. It[em] unto my daughter Marie Twentie marks to be payd unto her by my Executrix at the day of her mariage It[em] my will is, that my Executrix shall fell soe much wood growinge on my ground being coppihold which is to be Surrendred unto my sonne Judah, as is saleable, as shall paye the Composition for my coppihold land accordinge to the Decree latelie sued, out of his majesties Court of the Duchie of Lancaster. It[em] my will is that my Two sonnes Judah and Tobias shall have all my Loomes and shoppe geares equallie devided betweene them, soe that Tobias shall have the Loome in the barne towards his part, and my will is further that my sonne Tobias shall have soe much wood, of my woode in the yarde as will make him a fatt and barres: to his loome. It[em] I geve unto my Godsonne Willi[a]m Gorey. xij d. It[em] I geve unto my Godson Willi[a]m Pine? xij d. It[em] I appoint for my overseers Robert May and Ezra Bates to whom I geve eyther of them iiij d. And all the rest of my goods unbequeathed I geve unto Ellin my wife whom I make my sole Executrix of this my last will and Testament
