Ellen Weeden - Will 1624

In the name of God Amen I Ellen Weeden of Rushden in
the countie of Northampton spinster being sicke of bodie but of perfect
memorie thankes bee given to god for the same doe make and
ordeine this my last will and testament first I bequeath my
soule to Almightie God my maker and redeemer and my bodie
to bee buried within the churchyard of Rushden. Item my will
is that Elisha Weeden my yonger sonne whom I make my sole
executor shall pay to Mary my yonger daughter at the age
of Twentie one yeares the whole summe of Twentie markes
of good and lawful English money which said money I am charged
withall by the will of William Weeden my husband late deceased
Item I give unto my daughter Mary foure yards & halfe of redd
Clouthe, one yard and halfe of violet and my best gowne. Item
I give to my daughter Mary all my wearing linen. Item I give
to my daughter Mary all such linen which is in a browne chest
at my beds feete which is in my parlour where in now I lie. Item
I give to Mary my daughter one new feather bed one new bolster
one new pillow one coverlet one blanquett which now lyeth on mee
one purple cloake my best hatt. Item I give to my daughter
Mary my trusse bedd where now I lye. Item I give to my
daughter Mary two brasse potts one brasse panne, two candle
sticke, foure pewter dishes, one spice mortar one paire of butter
dishes one brush. Item I give to my daughter Mary my warming pan
Item I give to my daughter Mary halfe a dozen of spoones one
dozen of trenchers. Item I give to my daughter Mary my cupboard
which standeth in the hall. Item I give to my elder daughter Susan
one hatt my worst redd peticoate my violet gowne unbequeathed
Item I give to my daughter Susan two platters. Item I give
to my sonne Juda wife my worst kettle. Item I give to my
sonne Juda daughter Anne my best ewe lam hoge. Item I
give to my sonne Tobias two little kettles, one paire of butter
dishes. Item I give to Agnes Joshnson (sic) my sister my worst
gowne on red peticoate. Item all the rest of my goods
unbequeathed I give to Elisha my yonger sonne which I
make my sole executor my debts and funeral discharged
