Elizabeth Warren - Will 1817

This is the last will and testament of me
Elizabeth Warren of Rushden in the county of
Northampton widow which I do make publish and
declare in manner following, that is to say, I give
and devise unto my eldest brother William Drage of
Pertenhall in the County of Bedford and his Assigns for
and during the term of his natural life one clear
Annuity yearly rent charge or sum of seven pounds and
sixteen shillings of lawful money of Great Britain to be
issuing and payable out of all and every my messuages
lands tenements and Hereditaments in Rushden aforesaid
by me herinafter given and devised to my Brother Joseph
Drage the same to be paid and payable to my said
Brother William Drage or his Assigns by fifty two equal
weekly payments and the first payment thereof to begin
and be made at the expiration of one week next after my
decease. And in case the said Annuity of seven pounds
and sixteen shillings or any part thereof shall be behind
or unpaid by the space of twenty eight days next over
or after any of the said days whereon the same is made
payable as aforesaid (being first lawfully demanded) there
and from thenceforth and from time to time as often as
the same or any part thereof shall be so in arrears and
unpaid it shall and may be lawful to and for my said
Brother William Drage or his Assigns into and upon the
said Hereditaments and premises or any part thereof to
enter and distrain and the Distress and Distresses then (are)
there found to take lead drive and carry away and to
impound detain or otherwise sell and dispose of the same
until thereby or otherwise he or they shall be fully satisfied
and paid such Annuity or yearly Rent Charge or so much
thereof as shall be in arrears together with all costs charges
and expenses whatsoever which shall be occasioned by such
entry Distress and Sale . And subject to and charged and
chargeable with the payment of the said Annuity I give
and devise unto my said Brother Joseph Drage All and
every my messuages lands tenements hereditaments and
real estates whatsoever in Rushden aforesaid or elsewhere
(the customary or copyhold parts whereof I have already
surrendered or do intend to surrender to the use of this
my will) To hold the same unto and to the use of
my said Brother Joseph Drage his heirs and Assigns for
ever. Also I give and bequeath all my goods chattels personal
estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what
nature kind or sort soever the same shall or may
consist at the time of my decease unto my said Brother
Joseph Drage he paying and discharging thereout all
my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses And
I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said Brother
Joseph Drage executor of this my last will and testament
And lastly hereby revoking disannulling and making
void all former and other wills and codicils by me at
any time heretofore made I do declare this present writing
to be and contain my only true last will and testament
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and seal the twenty fourth day of July in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten.
