Will of Late Mr. B. Vorley 1931

Band of Hope and Mission Bequests


Mr. Benjamin Vorley, of 52, Queen-street, Rushden, retired boot dealer, and a well-known Temperance worker, who died on 11th October last, left estate of the gross value of £5,066 13s. with net personality £2,611 11s 6d.

Probate of his will and codicil has been granted to his widow, Mrs. Ellen Humphrey Vorley, of the same address and his daughter, Mrs. Frances Mary Spriggs, of Glen Lyn, The Ridge, Surbiton Hill, Surrey.

He left his household and personal effects to his wife, £25 each to his sister, Mrs. F. J. Jordan, and his nephews, Leonard Jordan and Donald Jordan and Raymond Goodwin.

£10 to the Northants County Band of Hope and Temperance Union.

£5 to the London City Mission.

And the residue to the property upon trust for his wife for life, and then equally between his son, Arthur Benjamin Vorley, and his daughter, Frances Mary Spriggs, or their issue.
