William Spencer - will 1670

In the name of God Amen I William Spencer of Rushden in the County of North’ton husbandman being of perfect mind & memory doe make & declare this my last will & testament in manner & forme following First I commend my soul into the hands of Almightie God my maker & my body I comitt to the earth from whence it came to bee decentlie buried by my executor And as for the temporal estate which God hath bin pleased to give unto mee I dispose of the same as followeth Imprimis I give & bequeath to my loveing mother Elizabeth Spencer the sume of Fifty poundes of lawfull money of England to bee payed her by my executors hereinafter named within One year or next after my decease Item I give & bequeath to my uncle Hugh Spencer of Thinden the summe of Five poundes of lawfull money of England to bee payed unto him by my said executors within Six monthes next after my decease & all the rest of my goods chattels & summes of money unbequeathed (my debts legacies & funeral being discharged) I give & bequeath unto my brother Thomas Spencer & my brother in law Thomas Yorke whom I make Sole executors of this my last will & testament hereby revokeing also all former wills & testaments by mee made. In wittnes whereof I the said William Spencer have hereunto sett my hand & seale the Fifth day of January in the Two & twentieth yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of [God] King of England &c Anno Dm 1670
