In the name of God amen the 16th daye of October in the yeare of O[ur] Lord 1629. I Samuell Smyth of Rusden in the Count[ie] of Northampton mason being sicke in body but of good p[er]fect memory praysed be god therefore Do ordayne and make my last will and testament in manner and forme following: that is to say First I comend my soule into the handes of God my maker hopinge assuredly through the only merrittes of Jesus Christ my saviour to be made p[ar]taker of life everlastinge. And my body to be buryed in the P[ari]she Churchyard of Rushden It[em] I give unto Mary Smyth my eldest daughter one seeled bed, one chest, one Coverlet, one payre of Flaxen sheets, one Flaxen table cloath one holland pillow beere, one Flaxen pillowe beere, one lattinne chafindish, one platter, one Cowe the dunne blacke one. It[em] I give unto Marye Smyth my youngest Daughter, one table one? cubhoard, one pen, five little coffers, one brasse potte, one kettle, one payre of sheets beinge flaxen, one holland pillow beere, one flaxen pillowe beere, one napkin one cowe the blacke one and youngest of them. It[em] I give unto Elizabeth Smyth my wife xxs. in money and six bushelles of barley and all hir goodes that shee brought in maryiage to me. It[em] I give unto John Smyth my eldest son all my tylth land one the ground And all other thinges and goodes unbequeathed and ungiven. It[em] I give unto Thomas Smyth my kinsman xijd. whom with my son John Smyth I do make my executours of this my last will and testament. In wittnes whereof I have set to my hand. And I do nominate and apoynt Thomas Bletso and Thomas Clarke my brother to be overseers of this my last will and testament
