March the 26th 1666
In the name of God Amen I Thomas Sanders of Rushden in the County of Northampton mason being sicke and weake of body but of perfect memory and remembrance God be praised do make and ordaine this my last will and testament in manner and forme following
Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Almighty God my creator and redeemer hoping through the meritorious Death & passion of my Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ to receive free pardon and remission of all my sins & my body to be buried in christian buriall at the Discretion of my Executor.
Item I give & bequeath unto my sonne William on heifer with hir calfe & two 2 yeare old bullocks & twenty shillings of ready money to be payed one yeare after my Decease
Item I give to my sonne Peeter the sume of one Shillinge.
Item I give to my Daughter Mary one plaine bed with two blankets & one paire of Sheetes with one pillowe & one brasse kettle with one tubb and one pewter Dish.
Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne Thomas all the remainder of my movable goods & chattels whatsoever unbequeathed whome I make sole Executor of this my last will & testamente revoking all other wills & Testaments whatsoever
In Witnesse hereof I the saide Thomas Sanders have set to my hand the Day & yeare above written.
