Will of Peter SANDERS Senior, dated 23rd Jan 1681
In the Name of God Amen Jannuary the Three & Twentieth one Thousand six hundred Eighty one I Peter SANDERS Senior of Rushden in the County of Northton husbandman being sicke and weake of body butt of perfect Sence and remembrance God be praised doe make and ordaine this my Last will and Testament in manor and forme Following First I bequeath my Soul into the hands of Allmighty God hoping through the merits death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my Sins and to inherit everlasting life And my body I commit to the earth to be decently buried att the discretion of my Executors hereafter named And as touching the disposition of all Such temporall Estate as itt hath pleased Allmighty God to bestow upon me I give & dispose thereof as Followeth
Imprimis I will that my debts & funeral charges Shall be paid and discharged
Itm I doe hereby give & bequeath unto Peter SANDERS my oldest Sonne the Summe of five Shillings of lawfull money of England to be payd unto him the Said Peter by my Executors hereafter named within one month after my decease
Itm I doe hereby give & bequeath unto Anne SANDERS my grandchild the daughter of my Sonne Peter aforesaid my best Tester bedd the long Table & benchboard standing in the parlor & one green Chaire Shee the Said Anne nott to have the Said goods untill after the decease of Elizabeth my wife
Itm all the rest of my moveable goods Chattles & Cattel whatsoever (my debts and funerall Charges being payed and discharged) I doe hereby give & bequeath unto my Deare Loving wife Elizabeth and to Henry SANDERS my youngest Sonne whom I make Joynt Executors of this my last will & Testament & I doe hereby Revoke null & make voyd all former wills by me att any time heretofore made
