January ye 29th 1667/8
In the Name of God Amen I Richard Sabie of Rushden in the countie of Northampton, being sicke & weake of body but of perfect sence & remembrance god be praised doe make & ordaine this my last will & Testament in manner & forme following
Imprimis I bequeath my soule into ye hands of Allmighty God my hevenly father hopeing thorough the meritorios death & pasion of my Lord & savior Jesus Christ to receive free pardon & remision of all my sines, & my body to be buried in christian buriall, acording to the discression of my Executors.
Item I give to my daughter Anne Allin the sume of xijd to be payed to hir the said Ane within one month after my decease.
Item I give to Martha Gobby one ewe shepp to be given to hir the said Martha when ye time of hir Apprentiship shall be expierd,
Item I give & bequeath all the remainder of my goods & chattles unto my wife Dorothy and my sonne James whome I make joynt executors of this my last will the said goods equally to be divided betwixt them, so longe as the said Dorothy & James shall inhabit & dwell together, but in case the aforesaid Dorothy shall remove hir habitation & dwelling then the said Dorothy is to have my two black Cowes; one grete kettle & one grete tubb &: two pairr of sheets with two blanketts & one coverlette In wittnesse wherof I the said Richard Sabie have hereunto set my hand & seale the day & yeare above written
