John Roughton - Will 1634/5

The will nuncupative of John ROUGHTON the elder late of Rushden in the Countie of Northampton deceased

The said defunct being of perfect mynde and memorie did about the later end of Februarie 1634 now instant make and declare his last will and testament nuncupative or by word of mouth in manner and forme following First he gave and bequeathed unto his eldest sonne ROUGHTON twentie shillings in monie one Cofer his best and his worst suite of apparell two paire of stockens one paire of shooes one hatt & one shirte Item he gave and bequeathed unto his second sonne Richard ROUGHTON his two children John and Jane ROUGHTON fortie shillings to be equallie devided betweene them Item he gave to the said Richard ROUGHTON his middle suite of apparell and to the wife of the said Richard one shillinge Item he gave and bequeathed unto his third sonne Thomas ROUGHTON his Cloake and certaine Shoomakers lasts In the presence of James PEAKE and Richard ROUGHTON and Thomas ROUGHTON & wished the said Richard to execute this will and to dispose of his goodes
