Mary Richards 1666

In the name of God Amen; June the eleventh 1666
I Mary Richards of the towne of Rushden in the Countie of Northampton wid(ow), being sicke & weake of body but of perfect sence & remembrance God be praised do make & ordaine this my last will & testament in manner & forme following
Imprimis I bequeath my soule into the hands of Allmighty God my creator & redeemer hopeing thorough the meritorios death & passion of my lord & savior Jesus Christ to receive free pardon & remission of all my sines and my body to be buried in Christian buriall at the discression of my Executor
Item I give to my Daughter Elizabeth my best tester bed, with the best fetherbed & two bolsters & one greene rugg with a cople of blanketts & fower fether pillowes: with one livery cubbord & also the hiest chest standing at the doore in the chamber with one round table, one trunke & one boxe And halfe a dosen paire of sheets of the best saveing one flaxen sheet & halfe a dosen pilloe beeares a flaxen bordcloth one dosen of nappkins, Item halfe a dosen of the best pewter dishes & two of the best pewter candlesticks: Item my best brasse potts with my biggest brasse kettle & one of the lesser kettles, with one glass box with that which is in it with halfe the cooperie ware
Item I give to my daughter Elizabeth aforesaid the sume of fifty pounds to be payed to hir when she attaines the age of 23 yeares or at the day of her mariage
Item I give to my sonne John & also to my sonne Joseph each of them a boxe Item I give to my daughter Mary my brasse pan & one of the lesser kettles And one tubb being the biggest save one. And also one trundle bed. Item I give to my daughter Mary aforesaid the sum of ten pounds provided that she have a daughter, & then the said money to be payed when the child attaines the age of one month
Item I give to my sonne Samuell all the remainder of my moveable goods & chattles unbequeathed whom I make sole Executor of this my last will & Testament renounceing all other wills & Testaments whatsoever.
In wittnesse whereof I the said Mary Richards herunto have set my hand the day & yeare above written
